Well it’s that time again. Time to hit the snooze button as much as possible, crawl out of bed and grab some coffee before the sunrises. That’s right…it’s Monday.
But don’t worry. Monday only lasts 24 hours and work usually lasts 8…and then Monday is over!
So have another cup of coffee, and enjoy these motivating songs and quotes to get you inspired. Because even if you can’t write today, you should at least be plotting!
Don’t let the Case of the Monday’s block the muse! Keep plotting!
Motivating Music: 90’s theme:
Better than Ezra, Extraodinary:
Delightfully upbeat. A classic feel-good song…
Flagpole Sitta, by Harley Davidson:
Can’t get more 90’s than this song! If this song doesn’t wake you up, nothing will…
All Apologies, Nirvana:
Nirvana defined post-grunge rock. Not only is this my favorite song of his, his haunting voice is perfect to write to!
Soundtracks to Write To:
So since I purchased the Alice in Wonderland soundtrack thanks to Ren’s suggestion, this Motivational Monday soundtrack music selection will all be by Danny Elfman. Elfman usually composes Tim Burton movies. But he also does solo work too that is dark, twisted, genius and inspirational. I suggest you search for him in iTunes or Rhapsody. Your muse will thank you for it!
Alice’s Theme, from Alice in Wonderland:
Big Fish Suite, from Big Fish…a great and inspiring film if you haven’t yet seen it, rent it!
Futurama theme song:
Ah, I always forget that Mr. Elfman composed this lovely theme! One of his more upbeat song, this one always gets me hyper and motivated to write; so enjoy!
You may only be someone in the world, but to someone else, you may be the world.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you’ll find one at the end of your arm … As you grow older you will discover that you have two hands. One for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
There isn’t a person anywhere who isn’t capable of doing more than he thinks he can.
That’s it for this week’s Motivational Monday! I promise to be more active this week, I was just super busy with the interview and got a lot of writing done!
So I hope these quotes and songs helped inspire you, and I hope you all meet your writing goal for this week!
If you don’t have any writing goals, I suggest you start them. They are super helpful and help keep you on target. I think I’ll dedicate a post this week to writing goals so stay tuned!
