So a few months ago, back in September ’13, I relocated from Chicago to Greenville, SC to be with family.
I feel very comfortable in the new city now. I love the downtown, it’s such a cute little street. But no, there is lots to do.
Now, aside from being a Cubs fan, I don’t generally much care about baseball, or typically sports in general for that matter.
But yesterday I had a lot of fun sweating in the baseball stands. I mostly went because it was a special event thanking first responders (firemen, cops, EMT, etc.) It was pretty cool, totally patriotic – which is so my thing – and just felt great thanking the brave men and women that serve and sacrifice for our community.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed the baseball part too.
I learned a valuable lesson that day, though:
Next time I’m totes going to bring my own water. And another valuable lesson:
GREASY FOODS AND HEAT DON’T WORK WELL TOGETHER!
Got a case of dehydration when I got home, and it felt worse than being hungover. I purposely skipped the beer becuase it was too hot for drinking (and I was driving), but the ice cream they served was pretty good.
So yeah, stay safe in the heat, guys!
SO HOW DO YOU GUYS COOL OFF IN THE SUMMER TIME? WHAT EVENTS OR PEOPLE ARE WORTH SWEATING FOR TO YOU – or are you strictly indoors when the heat cranks up?
